About Me
I’m not a career politician—I’m a local dad, small business owner, and public servant who believes Idaho Falls deserves leadership that listens, learns, and delivers. My story is rooted in East Idaho’s values, and my vision is built on transparency, trust, and results.
Rooted in East Idaho. Driven to serve.
I’ve spent most my life in East Idaho—growing up on a farm, raising a family, running a small business, and working inside city government to make things better. I believe in performance over politics, and I’m running for mayor to bring transparency, trust, and real results to city hall. My leadership is grounded in data, community values, and a relentless drive to serve.
My Background
Before launching this campaign, I spent years working behind the scenes in local government—learning how cities run, where they fall short, and how we can do better. I’ve seen firsthand how bureaucracy can frustrate residents and stall progress. That’s why I’m committed to making city hall more responsive, more transparent, and more accountable. My background blends hands-on experience with a deep commitment to public service—and a clear plan to fix what’s broken.

Education
I earned my bachelor’s degree in Public Policy and Administration from BYU–Idaho, with a minor in Data Science, and later completed a Master of Public Administration at BYU. These programs didn’t just teach theory—they trained me to evaluate programs, analyze budgets, and design citizen-friendly solutions. I’ve studied municipal finance, legal frameworks, and performance metrics—all tools I now use to build a smarter, more responsive city government. My academic foundation helps me cut through red tape and focus on what works.

Professional Work
Running a small business in Idaho Falls has taught me more about city government than any textbook ever could. As co-owner of Big Papas Fries, I’ve dealt with permits, inspections, vendor logistics, and the daily grind of keeping a local operation afloat. I’ve felt the pressure of rising costs and the frustration of unclear city processes. That experience fuels my drive to make city hall more business-friendly—especially for the small, family-run operations that make Idaho Falls unique. I know what it takes to survive and thrive here, and I’ll fight to make sure others can too.

Volunteer & Service
Service has always been part of my life. In college, I organized campus-wide service projects, led freshman orientation, and represented thousands of students to university leadership. Those experiences taught me how to build consensus, manage teams, and advocate for people who feel unheard. Since then, I’ve served my neighbors informally and held leadership roles in my church, including time in the bishopric. Whether it’s helping a neighbor move or guiding a congregation through tough times, I’ve learned that real leadership starts with showing up—and never backing down from responsibility.

Entrepreneurship
Running a small business has put me on the front lines—serving customers directly, managing tight budgets, and solving problems in real time. I’ve also been on the other side of the counter, navigating permits, inspections, and regulations that every local business has to work through. Those experiences gave me a firsthand understanding of how city decisions affect people’s daily lives. As mayor, I’ll bring that perspective to ensure government works as efficiently and responsively as the people it serves.
